Looking back, musing events n emotions of days gone by

Sometimes it bothers me, just knowing that the mind lives only in the 'present'. Agreed, we have a memory, and our imagination can repaint the past event for us to see, study, learn from, etc. but a revelation, a life changing event.. something that would, should, and surely must change our whole way of looking at something is doomed to become vague, to become so covered with events and revelations that in time you lose the dramatic impact of that event.

Another thing that bothers me greatly, is the knowledge that no matter how awesome and direct your God has communicated to you, you are unable to convey that to another unless He enables you to be effective. It seems that what transpires between you and your God is mostly if not entirely for you. For the moment, or for the present frame of mind, limit of knowledge, etc. etc.

Spiritual treasures

So tell me, do tears that spring from deep within at the very mention of someone or something portraying selfless love or bravery, of pure charity or heroism...do those come as gifts of the Spirit or fruits of the Spirit?
